A downloadable game for Windows

Considering switching to Unreal or Godot meaning development might start over. In the meantime, I'm posting the latest version of the Unity prototype so others can see what I wasted my time on.

As a warning, Sound mixing is all over the place and most of the assets are placeholder. Very few assets are original and were likely to be replaced. All placeholder assets belong to their original owners.

There are no complete levels in this build, just testing maps as well as some concept grayboxes.

  • Weapon Swapping has small delay. Was going to be used for animation purposes.
  • Player Can be Gibbed, Camera Gets moved to head Gibblet on death

  • Grenade Launcher has 3 grenade types: Regular, Cluster and Sticky.
  • Projectiles are destroyed when shot. Shoot the cluster grenade mid-Air

  • Plasma Rifle projectiles zap nearby enemies and physics objects
  • Improved HUD
  • HUD dynamically shows current powerups and how long they last.

  • Player has view model that uses placeholder asset that can be seen through portals. Animations and the modified model sourced from Mixamo and SFMLab.
  • Fall Damage removed

Controls:

  • WASD to Move
  • Left Mouse - Primary Fire
  • Right Mouse - Alt Fire (When Available)
  • [ and ] to cycle through inventory.
  • Shift to Slide/Dodge in direction
  • Alt to Toggle Walk
  • E  to Interact with doors and switches
  • Control to Crouch
  • Space to Jump
  • 1 - 9 switch weapons. Some weapons haven't been developed yet or have had their alt fires implemented yet.
  • Page up and Page Down to cycle through scenes

Esc to pause.

Textures and Sound effects are all placeholder assets and will be replaced.

What's Next?

Remake the game in something other than Unity...

  • Player feel tweaked
  • Mouse sensitivity can be adjusted
  • BHopping improved
  • Powerups. 6x Damage/ Sex Damage, Speed Up, Invincibility, JetPack, Regeneration, Unlimited Ammo
  • Slide Mechanic Implemented
  • Armour Types. Regular Armour reduces damage by a third while heavy reduces by half.

  • Beer Bottles replaced with Katana Melee Weapon
  • Sequencer Script allows events to occur in levels
  • Water, Toxic Waste and Lava Implemented along with swimming. Damage occurs from drowning or burning.
