A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Description:

Slipgate Crisis is a retro inspired First Person shooter that utilises Gravity mixing and Portals to create a hectic mind bending experience inspired by shooters from the 90s and the original Prey.

Helpful Tips:

Since this level is intended to be a mid-episode map, the map doesn't teach any of the games telegraphing techniques.

Those are the following:

  • Exit signs or Green Lights are an indicator of where to go next.
  • Vents can be shot, Also keep an eye out for destructible Terrain to reveal secrets.
  • Flak Cannon projectiles bounce off surfaces, try ricocheting them around corners with the Alt-Fire.
  • Plasma Rifle Flamethrower can stun enemies.
  • Enemies will drop spare pistols for the Pistols Alt-Fire.

For Future Builds:

  • Rocket Launcher Alt Fire Visual Indicators.
  • Sword Alt-Fire
  • SuperHot Mode adjustments
  • Improve Lighting. (Requires better hardware to properly tackle lighting unfortunately.)
  • Further additions to Options Menu
  • Further performance optimisations.

Optional:

Feedback Form

If you want to provide specific/detailed thoughts, feel free to use the linked feedback form to provide feedback on the experience.

Known Issues:

  • Kill Count is bugged currently
  • Earlier builds had the pixelisation set to the max values. This can be changed via Options > Visual Settings > Pixelisation.
  • Some work has been made to make the UI work with Ultra-Wide monitors however some UI stuff may be misaligned. Boot sequence for the game is broken in widescreen but won't affect the rest of the game.
  • Random Crashes: Game may freeze, still investigating the cause of it. Related to  D3D Swapchain.
  • Lighting requires a lot of work. As mentioned above, a hardware upgrade will be required to do lighting efficiently.
  • Sword lacks Alt-Fires outside of the Boomerang throw
  • Secret Rocket Launcher lacks HUD elements for Alt-Fire.
  • Enemies are dumb.
  • Level Load enemy count is incorrect.
