Slipgate Crisis (Prototype)
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Description:
Caught up in the midst of a world ending Alien Invasion, take the fight back to the blood thirsty invaders in a trans-dimensional romp across a fictional late 80s Australia and through the darkness between realities.
Slipgate Crisis is a retro inspired First Person shooter that incorperates Gravity mixing and Portals into the level design to create a fast paced mind bending experience inspired by games from the 90s and the original Prey.
Helpful Tips:
Since this level is intended to be a mid-episode map, the map doesn't teach any of the games telegraphing techniques.
Those are the following:
- Exit signs or Green Lights are an indicator of where to go next.
- Vents can be shot, Also keep an eye out for destructable Terrain to reveal secrets.

State of Project:
- This build is a small prototype demonstrating a taste of the intended experience.
- Primary goal of this demo is to get feedback for the level Design.
- While there will be Updates, they will be mostly focused on polishing what's already there or adding in missing mechanics.
- While we don't have any functional Ai yet, we do have a completable map that showcases the type of levels we want to design. Ai is pending in a future update.
- Bugs are present + Many elements are WIP and subject to change.
- Options menu is partially implemented however not everything is implemented yet.
- Performance is on the TODO list. Solution will require a rebuild of the level.
- Mac Build hasn't been thoroughly tested. Performance can be arse but can be played from start to finish.
- Linux build is untested.
- Sound Settings and some crucial control settings are present.
- The enemies present on the map represent the ideal spawning position for later use however they do make fun targets to gib with the current arsenal of weapons provided.
- Pistols lack a Alt Fire currently. Pending Design Work.
- Rocket Launcher Alt Fire is pending a redesign.
- Weapon Balance is non-existent currently.
- Raycast Weapons won't shoot through portals yet.
