Level Design Jam 11:

Small Bug Fix: Fixed annoying bugs, adjusted map geo based on some playtest feedback.

You are a prisoner aboard an alien spaceship and someone opened your cell. Fight your way through the ship to the exit elevator.

Slipgate Crisis was used as the foundation for a game submission for Steve Lee's Level Design Jam. 

I did initially have the idea of doing a prison escape map for my personal project but didn't see the need to start work on it anytime soon until I joined this Level Design Jam. 

The idea is that this would be the first map of the second episode and the story progression would have it that the player escapes the brig and gains access to the upper areas after this map.

Note for some players:

Map does feature gravity shifting sections which may cause motion sickness for some players. Apologies if it does occur.

Additional Info:

The theme was Escape or Illusion so I chose to make a Prison escape of sorts. The map is mainly a blockout with most of the intended stuff there however time constraints prevented me from polishing everything, especially the performance.

Roughy 19 days of work due to starting late. 
I'm not an artist so didn't get the chance to replace the placeholder textures with proper textures.

Because of time constraints, map is still in a rough state and only the main map design was done. 
Admittedly, there are several aspects of the final submission that I'm not happy with and would redesign it I had time to. Especially how the map runs performance wise.


Only one secret has been incorperated into the map.
There is a easter egg hidden somewhere in the map.

Lastly, chose to not use the existing Game Page for Slipgate Crisis for submission so there's more of a focus on this level and not the game itself.
